जोधपुर. शहर पुलिस ने एटीएम मशीन में छेड़छाड़ कर दूसरों के खाते से रकम हथिया लेने वाले अंतरराज्यीय गिरोह का पर्दाफाश कर एक आरोपी को गिरफ्तार किया है। प्रारंभिक पूछताछ में आरोपी ने जोधपुर शहर सहित जयपुर, पाली व अन्य स्थानों पर वारदातें करना स्वीकार किया है।

एसपी (सिटी) महेश गोयल ने बताया कि पिछले कुछ दिनों से कई बैंक के अधिकारियों को एटीएम से ट्रांजैक्शन नहीं करने के बावजूद रकम निकलने की शिकायतें मिल रही थीं। ऐसी ही एक लिखित शिकायत स्टेट बैंक ऑफ बीकानेर एण्ड जयपुर शाखा सोजती गेट के खाताधारक थालियों का बास, सोजती गेट के अन्दर निवासी सत्यदेव सांखला ने बैंक को दी। उसके खाते से 31 मई की सुबह 40 हजार रुपए निकाल लिए गए, जबकि उस दिन उसने केवल बैलेंस देखने का प्रयास किया था।

पहले एटीएम पर उसे कुछ खराबी लगी, तो वह दूसरे क्षेत्र में एटीएम पर गया। तब तक उसके खाते से 40 हजार रुपए निकाले जा चुके थे। एटीएम मशीन में खराबी की ऐसी ही शिकायत एसबीबीजे शास्त्री नगर आंचलिक कार्यालय को भी मिली। इस पर बैंक अधिकारियों ने दोनों एटीएम की वीडियो रिकॉर्डिग देखी। इसमें चार युवकों पर संदेह हुआ। एसबीबीजे जालोरी गेट शाखा के मुख्य मुद्रा प्रबंधन प्रकोष्ठ के सुनीलदत्त पुरोहित ने सदर बाजार थाने में एटीएम मशीन से छेड़छाड़ कर धोखे से किसी अन्य ग्राहक के खाते से राशि निकालने की रिपोर्ट 14 जून को दर्ज करवाई।

जांच के दौरान पुलिस को पाली जिले के सुमेरपुर निवासी छोगाराम कुमावत के एटीएम कार्ड का उपयोग होने की जानकारी मिली और चार संदिग्ध युवकों में उसका फोटो भी मिला। जानकारी पुख्ता होने पर सदर बाजार थाने के एएसआई दातारसिंह, कांस्टेबल तेजसिंह व कुन्दनसिंह ने सुमेरपुर से छोगाराम को दस्तयाब किया। उससे गहनता से पूछताछ में उसने बिहार के गया जिला के कोथर निवासी पंकज तथा उसके दोस्त सत्येन्द्र व शैलेष के साथ वारदात करना स्वीकार किया। सत्येन्द्र व शैलेष लंबे समय से ऐसी वारदातें करते आ रहे हैं और इन चारों आरोपियों ने राजस्थान व गुजरात में कई वारदातें की। पुलिस छोगाराम के तीन साथियों की तलाश कर रही है।
