सुनार की मौत पर बवाल Goldsmith's death uproar..

जोधपुर । चोरी का माल खरीदने के आरोप में न्यायिक अभिरक्षा में भेजे गए एक सुनार की मंगलवार रात बीकानेर स्थित पीबीएम अस्पताल में मौत के बाद बुधवार को यहां नई सडक चौराहे और शहर के भीतरी इलाकों में दिनभर बवाल मचा रहा। इसके चलते यातायात व्यवस्था चरमराई रही और राहगीर बेहाल हो गए। स्वर्णकार समाज पुलिस की यातनाओं के कारण मौत का आरोप लगाते हुए दोषी पुलिस अधिकारियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई, मृतक के परिजनों को मुआवजा, भादंसं की धारा 411 व 412 में संशोधन व जोधपुर में शव का पोस्टमार्टम कराने की मांग को लेकर सडक पर उतर गया।

पुलिस के खिलाफ रोष जाहिर करते हुए शहर की सर्राफा दुकानें बंद करवा दी गई और व्यस्ततम नई सडक चौराहे को साढे चार घंटे तक जाम रखा गया। पुलिस ने दो बार लाठीवार किया। दोपहर में एक बार लाठियां चला कर मार्ग खुलवाया गया, लेकिन लाठीवार से करीब आधा दर्जन लोगों के चोटिल होने से भीड भडक गई और दुबारा सडक पर आ जमी। करीब साढे चार घंटे बाद पुलिस ने फिर भीड को खदेडकर रास्ता खुलवाया।

चांदपोल माता का कुण्ड निवासी राजेन्द्र उर्फ राजू (46) पुत्र लालचंद सोनी को रातानाडा थाना पुलिस ने चोर गिरोह से पूछताछ के आधार पर गत चार जून को चोरी के आभूषण खरीदने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया था।

चार दिन की रिमाण्ड अवधि समाप्त होने के बाद 9 जून को उसे न्यायिक अभिरक्षा में भेजा गया। इसके बाद 11 जून को बीकानेर की नया शहर थाना पुलिस उसे जोधपुर जेल से प्रोडक्शन वारंट पर गिरफ्तार कर बीकानेर ले गई। बीकानेर में छह दिन की पुलिस रिमांड के बाद उसे 17 जून को न्यायालय ने उसे न्यायिक अभिरक्षा भेजा था। बीकानेर जेल में मंगलवार रात करीब पौने नौ बजे तबीयत बिगडने पर उसे पीबीएम अस्पताल ले जाया गया, जहां कुछ देर बाद में उसकी मृत्यु हो गई।

दुकानें बन्द करवाई

राजेन्द्र की मौत की जानकारी मिलते ही आज सुबह शहर के स्वर्णकार समाज में रोष व्याप्त हो गया। सुनारों का बास स्थित समाज के न्याति नोहरे में बडी संख्या में समाज के लोगजमा हुए और सुनारों का बास, मेघावलों का बास, घोडों का चौक, कटला बाजार, मोती चौक, सोजती गेट, नई सडक, सरदारपुरा बी व सी रोड स्थित सर्राफा दुकानें एवं शोरूम बन्द करवा दिए।

अपराह्न करीब तीन बजे लोगों का हुजूम संभागीय आयुक्त, जिला कलक्टर व पुलिस महानिरीक्षक को ज्ञापन देने जुलूस के रूप में कलक्ट्रेट रवाना हुआ। इससे सोजती गेट, निगम के पुराने कार्यालय व भीतरी शहर में जाम लग गया। जुलूस के नई सडक चौराहे पर पहुंचते ही कुछ उत्तेजित युवकों ने रास्ता रोक दिया। इससे चारों तरफ वाहनों की कतारें लग गर्ई।

बरसाए डण्डे

जाम में फंसी एक एम्बुलेंस को निकालने के लिए रास्ता खोला गया, लेकिन एम्बुलेंस के आगे खडी एक कार भी वहां से निकलने लगी तो प्रदर्शनकारियों ने उसे घेर लिया, यह देख पुलिस व आरएसी के जवानों ने लाठीवार कर भीड को खदेडा। इस दौरान करीब आधा दर्जन प्रदर्शनकारियों के चोटें आर्ई। इससे भडके प्रदर्शनकारी सडक पर बैठ गए तथा लाठीवार करने के विरोध में बासनी थानाधिकारी राजवीरसिंह को बर्खास्त करने की मांग करने लगे। इससे वहां दुबारा जाम लग गया। आखिरकार शाम करीब साढे सात बजे पुलिस ने सडक पर रखे अवरोधक हटाए और डण्डे फटकारते हुए भीड को खदेड मार्ग खुलवाए। भागते समय कुछ युवकों ने पुलिस पर पत्थर भी फेंके, लेकिन कोई चोटिल नहीं हुआ।

नहीं आए आला अफसर

एएसपी (शहर) राजेश सिंह, एडीएम (सिटी) स्नेहलता पंवार व अन्य अधिकारी मौके पर पहुंचे और समझाइश के प्रयास किए, लेकिन देर शाम तक मार्ग नहीं खुलने से राहगीर हाल-बेहाल हो गए, लेकिन एएसपी व एडीएम से ऊपर के अधिकारियों ने मौके पर आने की जेहमत नहीं उठाई।

लाठीवार की जांच एडीएम (सिटी) को सौंपी है। प्रदर्शनकारियों के दबाव में पुलिस अधीक्षक (शहर) ने जांच रिपोर्ट आने तक बासनी थाना प्रभारी राजवीरसिंह को लाइन हाजिर कर दिया। वहीं, कांस्टेबल एके मीणा व एक अन्य कांस्टेबल को निलम्बित किया गया।
